The New England Lean Consortium will be an Exhibitor at the New Collar Network Summit

The New England Lean Consortium will be an Exhibitor at the New Collar Network Summit in Santa Fe, NM. The conference will be held on Monday, May 2nd, in the Santa Fe Convention Center, Santa Fe, NM. The theme of the conference is below.

Many “blue collar” jobs across a wide range of industries have become digital “New Collar” jobs that demand 21st century skills. The World Economic Forum predicts that by 2023 almost 133 million New Collar jobs will be created utilizing disruptive technologies like AI, robotics, CAD design, AR/VR, and 3D Printing.

The question then is: “how do we prepare current and future workers for this new work reality?”

It starts with

· A workplace that sparks creativity & design thinking

· 21st century tools for innovators to bring their new ideas to life

· Hands-on, project-based training to jumpstart anyone who didn’t even know they have digital talent

At the summit you can join thought leaders in the Future of Work, employers from a wide range of industries, federal, state and local policy makers, innovative educators, and alternative education providers, as we re-imagine and enable lifelong learning opportunities to create opportunities for workers in our communities.

The NELC will debut an Associate Membership which entitles the new member access to all the Virtual Events that the NELC conducts, including Lunch and Learns, Virtual Plant Tours and Virtual Workshops.
