The New England Lean Consortium will be holding its March 2020 Lean Leaders Meeting at Pleasant View Gardens in Loudon, NH, on Wednesday, March 11th.
This will be the first Lean Leaders Meeting to be held at Pleasant View Gardens.
Their business provides starter and finished, saleable plants and flowers to nurseries and large chains, including Lowe’s, The Home Depot, and Wal-Mart. Their brand names are Proven Winners®, and Proven Selections®.
Today, Pleasant View Gardens has two facilities covering nearly 30 acres, including 14 acres under cover and 14 acres of outdoor production. They employ more than 120 full-time people and grow to more than 250 people in the busy season, while producing over 35 million plants.
Pleasant View has used Lean Tools and philosophies to improve Productivity and yields. Theirs is a unique application of Lean which has proven to be very successful in the operation of their businesses.
At Pleasant View Gardens you will see a vast amount of flowers, plants and hanging baskets, all under one greenhouse roof covering six acres.
Meeting Content The company presentation will provide a brief history and overview of the company. The presentation will also include a discussion of how Lean has helped Pleasant View Gardens. The company will also provide some insights on how they control the growth, size and characteristics of each of the plants and the flowers.

A Lean Consortium is a group of companies and organizations that get together to help each other on their Lean Continuous Improvement journey. A Lean Consortium is facilitated by a Lean CI professional.
